Bengaluru Gang rape case- Cubbon Park Guards raped woman
Bengaluru Gang rape case,A 30-year-old engineering graduate from Tumakuru was raped inside Cubbon Park on Wednesday night by two guards attached to the park. Night patrol policemen arrested the guards on learning about the incident from the woman who was found abandoned near the Coffee Day junction.
The visited Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA) located inside the park to enroll for tennis training at around 5 pm on Wednesday. Since it was a holiday, she was asked to return the next day. She asked the KSLTA staffers to provide her accommodation within the stadium premises. This was turned down. She stayed on.
At around 7 pm, KSLTA staffers asked her to vacate the premises and escorted her to a bus stand located near Century Club and KR Circle.
At around 9 pm, she allegedly returned to the KSLTA insisting on a place to stay saying she was there to ‘become a tennis star’ and that she did not want to leave without achieving the feat.The two accused, whose responsibilities include chasing out stragglers from the park after 7 pm, asked her to leave the park premises.
They allegedly escorted her out of the park once and dropped her off near the Coffee Day junction. She refused to leave and followed them back into the park again.
