Chennai rain highest rainfall on Dec 1 in 115 years: NASA (Video )

Chennai rain December 1, flood-struck Chennai witnessed highest rainfall in past one century, since 1901, said NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration). The American Space Agency on Tuesday released a video saying flood-ravaged Chennai received highest rainfall in past 115 years. The data was obtained from the NASA’s Earth Observatory map using the Integrated Multi-Satellite Retrievals for the Global Precipitation Measurement mission (IMERG)

Chennai’s new heroes – people who didn’t think twice before helping others during the floods that devastated India’s 4th largest city.

 
Actor Siddharth is one of amoungst those celebs, who have chosen to go out on the streets and help people affected by the Chennai floods. The Jigarthanda Actor proved that he is the real life Hero too.
With Tamil Nadu reeling under the worst floods to hit the state in a century and with rescue operations getting underway, actors Siddharth and RJ Balaji, popular among Tamil audiences, turned out to help the people. Siddharth was one of the victims of the rains. His house in the city was submerged, but that didn’t stop him from stepping out and helping those in need.

Laxman Rukmanne Katambale 73 year old, who has his 3 acres of farm in Kadoli village, visited the Deputy Commissioner’s office to donate Rs.5000 for the needy people of Chennai due to the recent floods.Additional Deputy Commissioner Suresh Itnal, received the cheque from Laxman, who has previously also helped the needy in time of need
