Hotel Transylvania 2 review
Hotel Transylvania 2 review
There are two running gags in Hotel Transylvania 2, and both are not directed at the children. One deals with overprotective parents, the other with over political correctness. Unfortunately, they are also the only two gags that work in this excitable, frenetic film, apparently about finding one’s own true self, that can’t even let that line be said without some activity in the background.
Dracula’s (Adam Sandler) daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez) and Johnny (Samberg) get married, get pregnant and have a child within the first couple of minutes into this sequel to the mildly successful Hotel Transylvania.
The human Johnny’s parents make their appearance but it’s a largely unremarked upon event at the hotel full of monsters. It’s when the baby, Dennis, starts growing and Dracula (only called ‘Drac’) keenly begins the wait for signs of vampire-hood in him that this animation film kicks in.
Dracula ignores Mavis’s appeals to let Dennis be, as he looks for fangs, drops him down heights to see if he can fly, sings him lullabies full of horrors, and frowns upon the TV version of lovable monsters that the boy watches at bedtime. However, Tartakovsky’s film doesn’t have the patience to let any strand play out, and the other monsters and their antics keep interrupting.

Bigg Boss 9 day 32
Bigg Boss 9 Episode 32
Bigg Boss gives a task where Mandana Karimi, Puneet Vashishtha and Digangana Suryavanshi are called in the Double Trouble Room. If one of the trip presses the buzzer, every housemate will get the presents sent by his family. Or else only that person will get them or random three people named by him. However, Puneet presses the buzzer and everyone gets the gifts.
Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss is one show where even celebrations give way to non-stop big bang action. The show’s Thursday episode had all that it takes to make Diwali noisier than what it was anywhere else outside the house: There was a heavier-than-usual dose of fights and fisticuffs, complaints and cribs, and much more in the day’s segment. Did you just say it’s the perfect recipe for Diwali patakha? ( )
On Thursday’s episode, the contestants were required to perform entertaining acts and all of them were divided into two teams. More than entertaining with their acts, the day’s episode was peppered with the contestants fighting with each other and trying to go one up on each other. Rimi and Rochelle, for example, were irritated with Suyyash for dancing on the same song they’ve chosen for themselves.
Kishwar jumped into the fight, defending Suyyash and telling the two girls that he was merely listening to the song and not dancing. She also warned Rochelle that only Bigg Boss has the right to decide if Suyyash was allowed to dance on the same song. The two then complained to Bigg Boss. Rochelle said that she just wanted to dance and the housemates found reasons to fight even in Diwali celebrations. “Can’t live like this anymore,” Rochelle said. “There are many people here who are uneducated and uncouth,” Kishwar told Bigg Boss.
Soon, things turn very ugly inside the house, with everyone fighting with each other. Aman then plays the pacifier and requests everyone to stop fighting because it’s Diwali. The two teams then agree on peace and perform their acts.
